Gehman, Sylvan R., Sr.
November 17, 1944 - August 18, 2020
Sylvan R. Gehman, Sr., 75, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was married 56 years to Shirley A .Wise Gehman. Born in Bowmansville, he was the son of the late Clayton M. and E. Alberta Shirk Gehman.
Sylvan was employed as a truck driver his entire working career. He was a member of St. John's Center U.C.C. in East Earl.
Surviving besides his wife is a son, S. Ray, Jr. husband of Judith L. Gehman of Ephrata; a daughter, Ann Marie wife of Larry Dalmas of Parkesburg; a grandson, John Clayton Gehman of Royersford; two brothers, Elvin L. husband of Shelly Frantz Gehman of Schoeneck, and Larry D. Gehman of Ephrata; five sisters, Eileen J. wife of Richard K. Steffy of Ephrata, Caroline F. Messner of Terre Hill, Jewel A. wife of Ralph S. Stauffer of East Earl, Karen J. Auker of Fivepointville, and Rowena K. wife of Keith A. Hyndman of Ohio. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer J. Gehman and by sisters, Rose Marie Wolf and Velma M. Wert.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 24, at 10:00 A.M. at Memory Gardens, 319 Wabash Road, Ephrata, PA with the Rev. R. Kenneth Evitts officiating. A viewing will be held at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill, PA on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. CDC Guidelines will be followed and masks will be required.
Geib, Jay Harold
October 17, 1936 - December 10, 2020
Jay Harold Geib, 84, of Manheim, passed away due to complications of COVID-19 on Dec. 10, 2020, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Rapho Township, he was the son of the late Elmer S. and Bertha Ebersole Geib. He celebrated 57 years of marriage to Erma S. Geib before her death in 2015.
Harold attended Mt. Vernon one-room school and was a member of Hernley Mennonite Church, Manheim; where he served as an usher and superintendent.
He was a steady, faithful man who took pride in his work as a carpenter, farmer, and estate caretaker and had planned to retire from his full-time job at the end of the year. He loved spending time with family; joking around with people; raising steers; growing and eating peas and sweet corn; listening to Southern gospel music; and spoiling two successive dogs named Stitches.
Surviving are daughter, Carolyn L. wife of James Stauffer of Lititz; son, Ronald L., husband of Joanne Wenger Geib of Manheim; grandchildren; Heather, Lindsey, Michael (Chrystal), Gregory (Kendra), Joshua (Jill), Bethany (Steve), Bryan and Ben (Lauren); great-grandchildren; Daniel, Seth, Kate, Liz, Callie, Eden and Brooke; and siblings; Mary Peters, Orpha Peters, Homer Geib (Verda), Mildred Deibler (Neil) and David Geib (Nancy). He was preceded in death by a brother, Elwood Geib.
Due to the pandemic, services and interment will be private at Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township.
Gingerich, Glen M.
November 1, 1968 - July 30, 2020
Glen M. Gingerich, 51, of rural Arcola, Illinois passed away at 9:47 A.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the Richard Gingerich residence, 439 E. CR 200 N., Arcola, Illinois. Bishop Reuben Kaufman will officiate. Burial will be in the Bagdad Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held any time after 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 31, 2020 and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Richard Gingerich residence. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Glen was born on November 1, 1968 in Tuscola, IL. He was a son of Melvin A. and Katie V. (Miller) Gingerich. He married Mary Jo Gingerich on November 22, 1990 in Arcola, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo of Arcola, IL, twelve children, Robert Lynn Gingerich and his wife Regina, of Arcola, IL, Elizabeth Ann Helmuth and her husband Larry of Cornersville, TN, Marcus Eugene Gingerich and his wife Tillie of Arcola, IL, Samuel Ray Gingerich and his wife Lena Rose of Arthur, IL, Carol Renae Schrock and her husband Keith of Arthur, IL, and Christopher Gingerich and special friend Rachel Lambright, Rebecca Irene Gingerich and special friend Keith Miller, Brian Lamar Gingerich, Emma Kristine Gingerich, Jalyn Andrew Gingerich, Joel Matthew Gingerich, and Kara Janae Gingerich all at home, five grandchildren, Malisa, Kendyn, Jaxon, Cody and Wayne his parents, Melvin and Katie Gingerich of Arthur, IL, seven siblings, Carolyn Hostetler and her husband Carl of Constantine, MI, Dorothy Gingerich and her husband Joseph of Arcola, IL, Ruth Ann Chupp and her husband Glen of Arthur, IL Barbara Wagler and her husband David of Kokomo, IN, Owen Gingerich and his special friend Anna Schrock Arthur, IL, Luella Schlabach and her husband Kevin of Arthur, IL and Fannie Bontrager and her husband Reuben of Wawaka, IN, his father and mother-in-law, Adlia and Irene Gingerich of Arcola, IL

Gingerich, Mary L. Yoder
May 10, 1929 - February 1, 2020
Mary L. Gingerich, age 90, died Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Courtyard Health Care after a brief illness.
She was born May 10, 1929 in Lagrange County to Levi and Fannie (Beachy) Yoder, the youngest of ten children. On October 7, 1950 she married Moses Gingerich in Nappanee. He died May 8, 2004.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Jackie) Gingerich and David (Marge) Gingerich, both of Goshen; seven grandchildren, two great-children; foster daughter, Rita Tangel, of Manado Sulut, Indonesia, and a sister, Edna Miller of Sturgis Michigan.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Benjamin (Anna) Gingerich on September 4, 2002; five brothers, Alvin, Perry, Aaron, Will, and Levi Yoder; and three sisters, Martha Troyer, Erma Troyer, and Barbara Mullet.
She lived her adult life in the Goshen area and cleaned houses as an occupation. She was a member of Waterford Mennonite Church for 56 years. She enjoyed being with family, and helping others.
Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2020, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 8, at 10 a.m. at Waterford Mennonite Church with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Pastors Terry Zehr and Neil Amstutz.
Memorial donations may be directed to Mennonite Central Committee or Goshen Home Care and Hospice.

Gingerich, Mary L. Yoder, 90, of Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died February 1, 2020 at the same place. She was born May 10, 1929 in Lagrange Co., IN to Levi and Fannie (Beachy) Yoder. On October 7, 1950 at Nappanee, Elkhart Co., IN she was married to Moses Gingerich, who died May 8, 2004.

Gingerich, Michael D.
July 1, 1961 - September 21, 2020
Michael D. Gingerich age 59 of Colon passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at Medilodge of Marshall.
Michael was born on July 1, 1961 in Pryor, Oklahoma, a son to Leroy Gingerich and Sue Cole.
Michael graduated from Colon High School with the class of 1979 and would live all of his adult life in the Colon area. Michael also attended the Locust Grove Mennonite Church.
Michael is survived today by his mother Sue Cole of Colon, brothers Harvey Gingerich of Sherwood and Andy Gingerich of Colon, many aunts, uncles, and cousins as well.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Leroy Gingerich.
The Gingerich family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 4-8 PM at the Schipper Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation with private burial of ashes to take place at a later date in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Gingerich, Olivia Nicole
December 8, 2009 - October 11, 2020
Olivia Nicole Gingerich, 10, of Middlebury, died at 1:01 am on Sunday, October 11, at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. She was born on December 8, 2009 in LaGrange to Brian and Sara (Yoder) Gingerich.
Survivors in addition to her parents are a brother, Drew Daniel Gingerich; two sisters, Ava Elizabeth Gingerich and Ella Kay Gingerich; grandparents, Dean and Laura Gingerich of Middlebury, Dan and Vera Yoder of Shipshewana; great grandmothers, Alice Yoder and Mary Katherine Lambright both of Shipshewana.
Olivia was currently being home schooled in the 4th grade.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Monday, October 12, and all day Tuesday, October 13, at the family's residence, 10731 CR 18 Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, October 14, also at the family's residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Atlee Troyer and the home ministers. Burial will be in Forks Cemetery, Middlebury.
Gingrich, J. Lloyd
May 24, 1924 - April 11, 2020
J. Lloyd Gingrich, 95, of Evendale, went to be with Jesus at 10:10 PM, Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 24, 1924 on the family farm in Evendale, Juniata County, he is a son of the late John W. and Margaret (Knouse) Gingrich. He was the fourth generation of the Gingrich family, and the fourth John Gingrich, to live his life on the family farm.
On June 22, 1947, he married his surviving wife, Orpha (Wert) Gingrich with whom he was blessed to share over 72 years of marriage and they worked side by side together on their farm.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Margaret Varner and her husband Tim of McAlisterville, John M. Gingrich and his wife Rosanne of Richfield, David Gingrich and his wife Phyllis of Thompsontown, Dale Gingrich and his wife Gladys of Richfield, Barbara Gingrich of Richfield, Paul Gingrich and his wife Debra of Dillsburg, and Marie Vredevelt and her husband Kirk of Alto, MI; twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and his extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in infancy, Harold Gingrich, and a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Gingrich Moyer and her husband Richard of Crenshaw, PA.
Mr. Gingrich was a 1942 graduate of Fayette High School and was self-employed as a farmer.
He was a member of Lauvers Mennonite Church, where he worked with the Summer Bible School program and taught Sunday school; served for over thirty years on the Eastern Mennonite Mission board; served on the school board of the Delaware (now Juniata) Mennonite School; and was a charter member of the local Juniata Mennonite Historical Society and the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society.
Lloyd will be remembered for his faithful service to and love for God, the Church, and his family; his good sense of humor; and interest and involvement in history. He cherished the time spent with family and friends. His well-known and respected presence in his home community and the Mennonite community will be missed.
Private graveside services and interment will be held at Lauver's Mennonite Cemetery, Evendale.
Public Memorial Services will be announced at a later date.

Gingrich, Paul Musser
November 25, 1929 - April 30, 2020
Paul Musser Gingrich, age 90, of Goshen passed away April 30, 2020 of natural causes. He was born November 25, 1929 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Thomas and Mary (Musser) Gingrich. He married Ann Gish Keener August 11, 1951. She passed away on January 18, 2013. He is survived by five children and spouses: Larry P. (Sheila Kline) Gingrich of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania; J. Robert (Joyce) Hooley-Gingrich of Waynesville, North Carolina; Jon “Jud” (Rita) Gingrich of Goshen, Indiana; Michael L. (Bonnie) Gingrich of Elkhart, Indiana; and, Lynda (Brent) Troyer of South Bend, Indiana; a son-in-law, Tim (Candy) Cleary of Williamsburg, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Pam Dintaman of Arizona; two sisters, Mary E. Gingrich of Lititz, Pennsylvania; Martha (Paul) Sangree of Lancaster and one brother, James (Joan) Gingrich of Lititz, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Gingrich Cleary, August 9, 1992 and a brother, John Gingrich.
Paul received his BA from Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Virginia in 1952. He and Ann served as missionaries to Ethiopia from 1954 – 1969. He remained close to many Ethiopian friends over the rest of his lifetime. In 1970 he received his M.Div. from Goshen College Biblical Seminary, Goshen, Indiana. From 1970-79, he worked at Goshen College as Director of Church Relations, SST leader in Belize, and Campus Pastor. From 1980-94 he served as the President of Mennonite Board of Missions in Elkhart, Indiana. Paul and Ann were recognized by Eastern Mennonite University and Seminary with the 1993 “Distinguished Service Award” in recognition of their lifetime of service. He was a member of the Assembly, Belmont and College Mennonite Churches in Goshen and Elkhart, Indiana.
Paul was well known as a visionary Mennonite Church leader who exemplified a life of commitment and service to others.

Luke William Glick, eight days old, of Middlebury, died at 6:58 pm, on Saturday, July 11 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born on July 3, 2020, in Topeka to William and Michelle (Barkman) Glick.
Surviving in addition to his parents are five sisters, Cheryl Rose (special friend Kyle Schrock), Brenda Ann, Eva Jane, Lisa Renae, Megan Grace Glick; four brothers, Joel Dean, Lyndon Jon, Aden James, Justin Lynn Glick all at home; grandparents, Nettie Glick of Shipshewana, Floyd and Irene Barkman of Goshen; great-grandmother, Miriam Bontrager of Wolcottville.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Freeman Glick.
Visitation will be after 12:30 pm on Monday, July 13 at the family residence, 14209 CR 20, Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, July 14 also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Calvin Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Goshen.

April 18, 1952 - October 25, 2020
Clarence E. Good, 68, of Ephrata, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 25, 2020.
Born in Fivepointville, PA, Clarence was a son of the late Raymond and Elsie Good and husband of Victoria S. Auker Good.
Clarence worked as a mechanic at Cross Keys Rentals in Leola, PA and attended Mohler Church of the Brethren in Ephrata, PA. He was an avid reader and a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and NASCAR Racing. Clarence also loved fishing and playing quoits.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lisa Good, wife of Scott Yutz of Ephrata, PA; two step children: Chad Eby of Ephrata, PA and Colleen (Nathaniel) True of Airville, PA; six grandchildren: Chandler, Thatcher, Paige, Meadow, Harper, and Tallis; seven siblings: Joyce, Hettie, Lillie, Sally, Jerry, Nevin, and Bruce; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: John, Jay, Eli, and Dallas; and one sister, Barbara.
Friends will be received at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA 17522 on Wednesday, October 28 from 6-8 p.m.

A Memorial Service for Clarence will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Mohler Church of the Brethren, 21 E. Mohler Church Rd., Ephrata, PA 17522.

October 28, 1928 - November 23, 2020
David H. Good, of Leola, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the age of 92. He was the founder of Good's Farm Machinery Auction in 1961, now known as Wolgemuth Auction, and started Leola Produce Auction in 1984. He was the husband of the late Laura Sauder Good who passed away in May 2008.
He is survived by: children, Irvin husband of the late Alta Weaver Good, Nancy wife of the late Cletus Ressler, Frances Groff, all of Leola, Ralph husband of Kimberly Smith Good of Harrisburg, Florence wife of Daniel Sommers of Rustburg, VA, Edward husband of Lydia Martin Good of Leola, David Good, Jr. of New Holland, Elmer S. Good of Akron, Lois wife of Ivan Zook of Bird-in-Hand, Lewis S. Good of Leola; 16 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Newswanger of Leola, Rebecca Wenger of Austin, TX, Barbara Rissler of Louisiana, Emma Witmer of Leola, Mable Burkholder of Fleetwood. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ella Rissler, son-in-law, Samuel Rissler, brothers, Henry, Paul and Isaac Good.

March 29, 1946 - July 25, 2020
Eldon J. Good, 74, of Orrville, died Saturday, July 25, 2020, at his home, following rapid declining health.
Eldon was born on March 29, 1946, in Wooster, to the late Elmer and Esther (Good) Good. He lived in the Orrville-Dalton Area his entire life and worked on the family farm as long as health permitted. He was a member of County Line Mennonite Church.
Surviving are six siblings, Milton (Ruth) Good of Dalton, Ann (Wilbur) Steiner of Smithville, May (Darry) Neuenschwander of Dalton, Elmer Dean (Wanda) Good of Oconto, WI, Norma (Wain) Neuenschwander of Orrville, Gloria (Michael) VanPelt of Columbiana; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and one aunt, Mary Catherine Witmer of Sparta, TN.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and one great niece.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at County Line Mennonite Church, 19199 Church Road, Dalton, with the local ministry officiating. Burial will take place at the County Line Mennonite Cemetery in Dalton.
Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.

November 10, 1925 - November 8, 2020
Lester T. Good went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Ephrata Manor. He would have turned 95 on November 10, 2020.
He was born in Hinkletown to the late Harvey and Alice (Taylor) Good and was the husband of the late Kathryn Good with whom he shared 68 years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2019.
Lester was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church. He was a farmer most of his life. He also drove truck for Keller and Eugene Sensenig, delivering wood shavings until he was in his eighties. Lester enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was a member of the Buccaneer Hunting Club. He loved to take drives with Kathryn.
He is survived by four sons, Harold (Lois) Good, Jay (Christine) Good, Gerald (Cindy) Good, Ray (Patti) Good; 11 grandchildren, Keith (Amy) Good, Michael (Kara) Good, Melissa (Kyle) Hershey, Chasity (Isai) Saenz, Vanessa (Tim) Mutchler, Daniel Good, Trevor (Lauren) Good, Alana Good, Austin (Jade) Good, Andre (Janae) Good, Kayla Good; 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul T. Good, Raymond T. Good and a sister Edna Good.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Martindale Mennonite Cemetery.

Paul B. Good, 94, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Lincoln Christian Home.
He was born in East Earl Township to the late Samuel S. and Mary W. (Burkholder) Good and was the husband of Etta M. (Burkholder) Good who passed away in 2001. He was also the husband of the late Edith R. (Newswanger) Good who passed away in 2012.
He was a member of New Haven Mennonite Church, Lititz (Mid-Atlantic Conf.).
Paul was a salesman, retiring from Rigidply Rafters.
Paul is survived by five children, Harold, husband of Miriam (Zimmerman) Good of Stevens, Ruth, wife of Earl Horst of Tamaqua, Melvin, husband of Verna (Fox) Good of Long Island, VA, Loretta, wife of Sylvan Witmer of Womelsdorf, Rhoda, wife of Vernon Weaver of Stevens; brother, Eli, husband of Loretta Good of Ephrata; 27 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Additionally, he is survived by nine step-children, Dale, husband of Marion (Hursh) Seibel of Hopewell, Darlene, wife of Clarence Kreider of Myerstown, LaVerne, wife of Paul Groff of Stevens, Shirley, wife of Carl Martin of Newmanstown, Leonard, husband of Norma (Lehman) Seibel of Mt. Pleasant Mills, Edith, wife of the late Carl Martin of Denver, Margie, wife of Reed High of Jonestown, Lydia, wife of Anthony Sweigart of Liberty, MS, Jane, wife of Vernon Geigley of Lancaster; 41 step-grandchildren; 111 step-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Emma Martin, Martha Martin, Harvey Good, Isaac Good, Elva Huber and Samuel Good.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM at the New Haven Mennonite Church, 230 Crest Road, Lititz. An additional viewing will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020, from 9 to 10 AM at the church followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM with Bishop Luke Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.

Ray (Shaub) Good, 84, formerly of Selinsgrove, entered into rest Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at his brother's home in Cerulean, Kentucky.
He was born Oct. 23, 1936, in Lancaster County, Pa., a son of the late Milton and Barbara (Shaub) Good. On April 23, 1966, he married Ida (Gehman) Stauffer who preceded him in death May 18, 2009.
He was a member of "County Line" Mennonite Church.
Ray is survived by one daughter, Betty Joy and her husband James Stahl of Selinsgrove; 11 grandchildren, Ashley and Paul Gehman, James Stahl, Bethany and Josh Reihl, Kimberly and Wesley Aucker, Brian Stahl, Anthony Stahl, Emily Stahl, Amy Stahl, Kiley Stahl, Destiny Stahl, and Jonathan Stahl; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, his twin Roy and his wife Nancy Good of Port Trevorton and Earl Good of Cerulean, Kentucky; and two sisters, Esther Good of Cerulean, Kentucky and Ada Sweigart of Selinsgrove.
In addition to his wife, Ray was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Phares S. and Marcella Good, Harvey S. and Ruth Good, and Paul S. and Anna Mary Good; two brothers who passed away in infancy; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Vera (Good) and Raymond Haldeman, Edna (Good) and Elmer Haldeman, and Catherine (Good) and Titus Stauffer; and one brother-in-law, Clayton Sweigart.
Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at County Line Mennonite Church, 1087 St. Thomas Road, Mount Pleasant Mills. Burial and services will follow the viewing.

Henry D. Graber, 73, of LaGrange, died peacefully at his residence at 7:00 am on Tuesday, May 19. He was born on March 8, 1947, in Nappanee, to Daniel H. and Katie Ann (Miller) Graber. On May 25, 1967 in LaGrange, he married Mary
Kay Yoder; she survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Anna Graber; two sisters, Rosie Frye, Orpha Schrock; two brothers-in-law, Eber Frye, Joe Bontrager; granddaughter, Marlene Graber; two great-grandchildren, Skyler Jordan Mishler, Kari Faith Graber.
Henry was a farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Joanna Graber, 79, of Shipshewana, died peacefully and surrounded by family, following a brief illness, at 7:10 pm on Sunday, January 26, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1940, in Goshen, to John and Katie (Miller) Troyer. On October 25, 1962, she married her loving husband, Daniel Graber.
He survives, along with their children, Beth (Doug) Snow of Southaven, MS; Cristina Graber and Kathryn Graber both of Sarasota, FL; Iva (Tim) Graber of Sturgis, Ml; David (Shari) Graber of White Pigeon, MI; and Steve (Anita) Graber of Amelia, VA; 18 grandchildren; sister, Edna Mae Frye of Goshen, and many beloved lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Graber; sister, Alice Troyer; and two brothers, Edward and Raymond Troyer.
She was a homemaker and Amish taxi driver, and a member of Fairhaven Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 30, and 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday, January 31, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 State Road 4, Goshen, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 1, also at the church. Services will be conducted by the Fairhaven Ministry Team and Pastor Ray Stutzman. Kari Faith Graber, infant daughter of Floyd and Cristina Kay (Bontrager) Graber of Wolcottville, was stillborn at 10:53 pm on Monday, May 4 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
Survivors in addition to her parents are sister, Kayla Jo Graber and brother, Jared Michael Graber both at home; grandparents, Alvin H. and Susan M. Graber of LaGrange, Lavern R. and Katie J. Bontrager of Wolcottville; great-grandparents, Henry and Mary Graber of LaGrange, Mervin and Anna Mast of LaGrange, Marietta Bontrager of Ligonier, Johnnie Troyer of LaGrange.

Graybill, Lois Irene Benedict
May 12, 1927 - September 5, 2020
Lois Irene Graybill, 93, passed gently into God's everlasting arms, being welcomed Home by The Lord Jesus, her Redeemer and Friend, on September 5, 2020, at Mennonite Home Communities, Lancaster, PA.
Daughter of the late Paul and Anna Benedict, Lois was born May 12, 1927, in Wrightsville, PA. She received Christ as her personal Savior during an evangelistic meeting in their local church. After High School, Lois received a war-time grant to enroll in nurse's training at Lancaster General Hospital. She continued to serve there as an award-winning Registered Nurse until her marriage in January 1949 to World War II Army-Air Corps combat pilot Richard Jacob Graybill.
During their years raising Timothy (b. 1950) and Susan (b. 1955), Lois served the Refton Fire Company Ladies' Auxiliary while Dick co-owned and operated Graybill Bros. (established 1917 by his father). Before Dick's passing in 1990 Lois resumed her career, specializing in home geriatric nursing.
Lois had become the oldest living member of Lancaster Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. There she served as President of its Women's Missionary Prayer Fellowship and devoted herself to its Stephen Ministry. Ever a caregiver, her 9 years at Mennonite Home often found Lois travelling the hallways to visit fellow residents who were sick or suffering. Special thanks is expressed to those who visited Lois regularly, to the nursing staff, and to Hospice & Community Care who so patiently nurtured Lois in her suffering.
Lois had an unquenchable curiosity. She enjoyed clouds, trees, streams and plants. She loved people, especially discussing Scripture and conversing with friends around the table.
Lois will be fondly remembered by son Tim and his wife Susan of Willow Valley Communities; daughter Sue and her husband Gary of Peoria, IL; grandchildren Julie (Andrew), Becky (Matthew), Justin (Julie), Andy (Bekka), and Jessi; great-grandchildren Claire, Henry, and Leo; sister Janet, niece Jeanette, sister-in-law Marian, and other relatives, friends and neighbors too numerous to mention by name.
In keeping with Leviticus 19:3, Each of you shall reverence his mother and his father, Tim and Sue warmly invite all to join us for a Memorial Service at our parent's grave site in Willow Street Mennonite Church Cemetery, 399 East Penn Grant Road at Hans Herr Drive, Willow Street, PA 17584 this Friday, September 11, at 2:00 pm to worship God and celebrate Lois' life. We plan to sing some of the grand old hymns about Heaven that were sung by her bedside before her Home Going. Rev. Carl McGarvey, Pastor Emeritus, will officiate. The Lancaster County Nurses Honor Guard will also be present. Physical distancing will be accommodated by the large grassy area surrounding their grave site.

Ruth A. Graybill, of Richland, PA, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 5 days. She was born on December 21, 1930 in Thompsontown, Juniata County, daughter of the late W. Banks and Anna (Weaver) Weaver and the wife of the late Elvin L. Graybill. She was a member of the Texter Mountain Mennonite Church.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Elvin, Jr., Newmanstown, PA; and Charles, Elkton, MD; three daughters: Anna Jean, wife of Marvin Hershberger, Bergholtz, OH; Gloria and Dawn, both at home; 21 grandchildren; and 56 great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Samuel, David and Daniel; and four sisters, Elizabeth, Mary, Rebecca, and Anna, wife of the late Glenn Graybill.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 10 AM in the Fairview Mennonite Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon, PA. Interment will be made in the Richland Mennonite Cemetery. Elwood Brubaker Groff, 82, of Stevens, died Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, as a result of a brief illness.
Born in Denver, he was a son of the late Elmer W. and Leah (Brubaker) Groff. He was married to Ruth Ann Weaver for 48 years, who proceeded him in death in July 2010.
He worked for Victor F. Weaver/Tyson Foods of New Holland for 42 years. Throughout his retirement years, he enjoyed local taxi driving, recycling wire, and talking with family and friends. He was a member of Centerville Mennonite Church.
He is survived by two sons, J. Merlin, married to Lois Ann (Martin) Groff of Pittsgrove, NJ, and Elwood David married to Lillian (Brubacker) Groff of Barto; three daughters, Naomi, married to James K. Weaver of Jonestown, Lorene, married to Curtis Miller of Hutchinson, KS, and Ruth Elaine Groff, at home, with whom he resided; 24 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Lewis B. Groff of New Holland; and a sister, Eleanor Horst of Richland.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife and parents, is a daughter, Christine; a grandson, Justin; a brother, Ernest; a brother-in-law, Raymond Horst; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Groff.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 27 at 10 am at Centerville Mennonite Church, 197 Sensenig Road, Ephrata. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Groff, Harold K.
January 21, 1924 - March 31, 2020
Harold K. Groff, age 96, of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Brethren Village. He was the husband of Anna Marie Kreider Groff for 69 years. Born in Ronks, he was the son of the late Abram B. and Miriam Elizabeth Metzler Groff.
He was a graduate of Strasburg High School, class of 1941. Harold was a member of Strasburg Mennonite Church where he had served as a trustee. He was one of Heifer International's "Seagoing Cowboys" who delivered relief to Germany after World War II. He was the first delivery man for Herr's Chips. He was a wholesale carnation grower for decades and co-founder of Groff's Flowers, Strasburg. He was a member of Mid-Atlantic Carnation Society. He loved music and sang baritone in a male quartet. In his retirement he provided transportation to the Amish community. Harold was known as a quiet but wise person. He loved his children and grandchildren and taught them the importance of respecting Christian values, which he modeled in his own life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Marilyn C., wife of Michael Martin, Strasburg, Gwendolyn M., wife of Robert Buchan, VT, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and sister Amy Kreider, Lititz. He was preceded in death by a son, Nelson K., husband of Dawn B., Ohio. He was also preceded by 2 siblings: Anna Martha Denlinger and Stanley Groff.
Due to current public health concerns, funeral service and interment will be private with a memorial service at a later date.
Groff, J. Newlin "Newt"
November 13, 1926 - November 27, 2020
J. Newlin "Newt" Groff, 94, of Manor Township, passed away on November 27, 2020 at Hospice & Community Care surrounded by family. He was born on the family farm in Manor Township and was the son of the late Amos M. and Ella (Gerlach) Groff.
Newt was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ruth E. (Brenner) Groff, in 2012.
Newt worked on his father's dairy farm until 1972. From 1972 to 1991 he worked in the Lancaster Township Maintenance Department.
He graduated from Manor High School in 1944. Newt was a lifelong member of Green Hill UMC in Conestoga. He was also a member of the Lancaster County Post Card Club, Lancaster Historical Society, Conestoga Historical Society, and the Central Manor Camp Meeting Association. Newt enjoyed gardening vegetables, helping local farmers, and spending time with his family. He was well known for his garden vegetable stand on the corner of Charlestown and Donerville Roads that pulled a loyal following for over 40 years, and his great sense of humor. He also enjoyed visiting sales and auctions collecting rare items, and received many blue ribbons at the Lampeter Fair.
He is survived by two daughters, R. Diane Lausman, of Lancaster, Karen L. Halstead, wife of Edward A., of Manheim, a son Jeffrey N. Groff, husband of Christine, of Cambridge Springs, PA, two grandchildren, Andrea M. Stauffer, wife of Joseph, of Manheim, Alison M. Halstead, fiancée of Corey Gill, of Manheim, two great-grandsons, Weston and Brycen Stauffer. He is also survived by a sister, Pauline Gerhart, of St. Anne's Home. He was preceded in death by a brother Wilmer G. Groff.

L. Lucille Groff, 75, a resident of Keystone Villa, Ephrata, passed away at home with family by her side on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
She was the wife of the late Larry L. Groff who died in 2017. Born in Terre Hill, she was the daughter of the late Erwin G. and Arlene M. (Brendle) Martin.
Lucille was a homemaker and a member of Martindale Mennonite Church. She was a 1962 graduate of Lancaster Mennonite High School and a 1965 graduate of the Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked a few years at Prince George Hospital in Washington, D.C.
She attended meetings of the Lancaster Quilt Guild. Her interests included quilting, painting, traveling, writing poetry and spending time at the family cabin in Juniata County.
Surviving are two daughters; Marilyn of Talmage, PA married to Lloyd Martin, and Margaret of Denver, PA married to Brian Martin, three sons; Kevin of Bradford, PA married to Sheila (Brubaker) Groff, Philip of New Holland, PA married to Sharon (Gehman) Groff, Elvin of Stevens, PA married to Jennifer (Stauffer) Groff; twenty grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma of Florida married to Ron Riley; Susan of Terre Hill, PA married to Michael Eby; and three brothers, J. Nevin of Terre Hill, PA married to Ruthie (Bowman) Martin, E. Gary of Bowmansville, PA married to Jean (Lentz) Martin, and Lauren of Colorado, married to Kim (Weaver) Martin. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Alicia and Ashley Martin.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 17, at 2:30 P.M. at the Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Ephrata, PA with Bishop Daryl Weaver and Pastor Dave Sensenig officiating. Leon R. Groff, 76, of Lititz, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born in Ephrata to the late Willis W., Sr. and Lizzie Mae (Redcay) Groff and was the husband of the late Miriam H. (Shirk) Groff who passed away in 2016.
He attended Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church.

Mary Ella Groff, 84, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Lincoln Christian Home.
She was born in West Earl Township to the late Amos S. and Eva M. (Fox) Groff.
She was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
Mary Ella is survived by two brothers, Harold A. (Ann) Groff of Lancaster and John I. (Carol) Groff of Ephrata, one sister, Grace E. (Harvey) Martin of Orrstown, PA, a sister-in-law, Joyce Groff, Lititz, 21 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, S. Norma Weaver, two brothers, Clarence and Irwin L. Groff, and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Groff.
Prior to retirement she was employed at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital and Fairmount Homes, Ephrata, in the housekeeping department.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Midway Mennonite Reception Center, 210 E. Lexington Road, Lititz. Groff, Mary Jane, 76, of Lancaster, went to her eternal home on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Conestoga View, while under the care of Hospice. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Earl B. and Esther S. Groff Groff and step mother Mary Fry Groff, Lititz. Mary Jane worked for many years as an LPN with mothers and babies in the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. She retired from Friendship Communities, Lititz and was a member of Crossway Church.
Surviving in addition to her step mother, her siblings: Allan (Dore) Groff, Lancaster; and Barbara Groff (Brooks Harding), Ephrata. She was preceded in death by one sister: Anna Elizabeth Groff.

March 24, 1924 - October 20, 2020
Norman M. Groff, 96, of Mattawana, Pa., formerly of Millmont, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at his daughter's home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Lancaster County on March 24,1924, a son of the late Willis and Francis (Myer) Groff.
After moving to Union County in 1953, he worked at a variety of jobs in the Mifflinburg area before retiring from Walnut Acres in Penns Creek. Norman loved people and was a friend to many. He was a founding member of the Millmont Mennonite Church. In his retirement years, Norman was known as "Grandpa" to many students at Sharon Mennonite Bible Institute where he and Edith volunteered for several years.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Edith (Gehman) Groff, in 2000; a son, Samuel Groff, in August 2020; a grandson, Gerald Groff; a sister, Miriam Longenecker Shertzer; and two brothers, Melvin Groff and Willis Groff Jr.
In addition to his wife of 18 years, Evelyn (Furtak) Groff, Norman is survived by four sons, Galen (Phyllis) of Lewisburg, Kenneth (Kathy) of Mifflinburg, David (Mary) of Lewisburg, Wesley (Wanda) of Beavertown; a daughter, Sarah (Daryl) Yoder of Mattawana; a daughter-in-law, Beverly (Samuel) Groff of Allenwood; 27 grandchildren; and 74 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two step-daughters, Susan (David) Heimbach and Brenda (John) Weaver; nine step-grandchildren; 20 step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Naomi (Kermit) Sauer of Quarryville.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at the Millmont Mennonite Church, 1250 Millmont Road, where the service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. with officiating ministers Lewis Hoover, Sheldon Yoder, and Nate Reiff.
Burial will be in the Millmont Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Paul E. Groff, 93, of Lititz, and formerly of Manheim, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at UPMC Lititz. Born in Warwick Township, he was the son of the late Roy R. and Ella Ebersole Groff. Paul was a life-long farmer. He was the husband of Bernice G. Hess Groff.
Paul was a member of White Oak Church of the Brethren, Manheim, where he served as the church janitor for many years. He also worked part time at the Manheim Auto Auction for 28 years. He enjoyed yardwork and vegetable gardening.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Bernice are, two daughters: Beverly wife of Harlan Martin of Manheim, Louise wife of Eugene Stahl of Green Castle, two sons: J. Richard husband of Rachel Groff, Arthur husband of Jill Groff both of Manheim, fourteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ada wife of Warren Miller of Lititz. Preceding him in death is an infant son, Robert L. Groff and two brothers, Earl and Leon Groff.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at Graybill's Brethren Cemetery, Elm.
